Expert medical advice now available free with HSBC Life
HSBC Life Protection and Critical Illness products have been enhanced with the addition of HSBC Life Online Health Services, accessed through an app, giving customers the benefit of a variety of health and wellbeing services according to the policy that the customer holds.
Ranging from a second medical opinion and virtual GP appointments through to prescription services, a health MOT and mental health support – the HSBC Life Online Health Services app has been launched in partnership with Square Health.
This important new benefit could be a strong incentive for your clients in deciding which protection policy to choose and provides added value services to support your clients’ health and wellbeing.
What online health services can policyholders access?
Our new app will provide customers with valuable health and wellbeing services delivered by video call (or phone where required). It is available to both new and existing HSBC Life customers.
The services vary by policy type, as follows:

Why are HSBC Life providing Online Health Services?
This new platform strengthens the life protection offering from HSBC Life and adds to its portfolio of digital services. It has been developed as part of HSBC Life’s ongoing recognition of the vital importance of health to individuals and their families – particularly since the onset of the global Coronavirus pandemic.
Mark Hussein, CEO of HSBC Life (UK) Limited, said: “COVID-19 has changed the traditional view of how we think of face-to-face medical appointments. By introducing our new Online Health Service we hope to help our customers meet with a remote GP* virtually in the comfort of their own home.
Our new service also provides eligible customers with access to a second medical opinion which means they can have a further consultation on treatment options with a UK-based medical specialist. It is essential that we diversify our product offering in the current environment and evolve to provide our customers with the best service possible.”
